Course Overview

The Bible is a 2,500-year-old book, written in a different time for a different audience than ours today. From David and Bathsheba to Song of Songs to Jephthah killing his own daughter to Jacob and Esau to, well the list goes on and on, The Bible violates the standards that are getting other books around the country banned from libraries and schools. We will look at some of these stories to try and understand why The Bible holds the place it does in our world and why other books with less violence, smut, duplicity, and more are tossed aside for having too much of those them
