Artists like Linda Ronstadt, Selena, Lila Downs and Freddy Fender brought these heartfelt ballads to wider audiences, preserving their rich storytelling and connecting generations through music’s universal language of love. We'll examine songs by these artists and others, with English translations available and commentary on their origins, presentation and impact.
