Course Overview

Your legal will and testament bequeaths your valuables, but how do you pass on your values, beliefs and life lessons? A legacy letter, also known as an “ethical will,” is a heartfelt written document that allows you to share your personal wisdom, express your hopes, and transmit your blessings to future generations. Unlike a memoir, a legacy letter is typically just a few pages long, making it accessible and deeply personal. The workshop includes discussion and brief writing exercises to help participants examine their life history, explore their values and capture important insights. Students will learn how to reflect on meaningful life experiences, identify core values, and craft a powerful legacy letter that will become an enduring gift for loved ones.
