Course Overview

If King Arthur and Guinevere actually lived, legend says that Camelot was in Glastonbury, England. Long before that, stone circles including Stonehenge were erected nearby. After 500 BCE, Celts and Druids occupied Glastonbury, then called the Isle of Avalon. In the Middle Ages, Glastonbury Abbey was a major pilgrimage destination, like Chartres and Jerusalem. The New Age discovered Glastonbury, where stores sell crystals, Chalice Well has healing waters, and a rock festival occurs at the summer solstice. Myths claim that Glastonbury is an entrance to the Otherworld of the ancestors. Enough to entice you? There’s more!
