Course Overview

Did you know that DNA research has traced the origin of European Celts back to what today is Ukraine? Around 3500 BCE, horse-based peoples from north of the Black Sea started moving west and eventually spread their culture and genes throughout Europe. We will follow their migration via DNA, their art, social classes, and burial practices thanks to archaeology, and their language patterns through linguistics. Along the way, you will become familiar with the Yamnaya people, then the Scythians and Sarmatians. Are these your ancestors?
