Course Overview

In Europe during World War II, six female correspondents reported the news from the front lines. Getting the story became the ultimate prize and for this they took the ultimate risks. Although Jewish, Sigfried Schultz successfully hid her identity from the Nazis while reporting on Hitler’s regime. Vogue model Lee Miller traded haute couture and the runway for khakis and a camera. Martha Gellhorn was Ernest Hemingway’s third wife. She scooped him on reporting on D-Day. Meet the six female journalists who changed the role of women in wartime.
