19466 - The 1910 Poisoner Case of Hawley Harvey Crippen, MD London, England, and its Many Unanswered Questions
Course Overview
Poisoning murder! Dismemberment! Flight from justice! For its time, this 1910 London poisoning murder case, was the “murder case of the Century”, and remains probably the most famous case in British murder investigations, second only to that of “Jack-the-Ripper”!
This discussion will cover the pathology, analytical toxicology, and forensic investigations that were involved in the prosecution of Coldwater, Michigan, born, Dr. Hawley Harvey Crippen, that ultimately lead to his execution for the London murder of his American wife Cora. Also covered, will be the speaker’s work in London, and involvement with British researchers, that attempt to answer some of the many questions which reveal there are many more questions and mysteries about this case than anyone ever realized!
Our audience will serve as members of a “mock jury” during the case presentation, as the speaker will sometimes represent the defense, and sometimes the prosecution, and the members of the “jury” will be asked for their decision on the guilt or possible innocence of the defendant, at the end of the discussion.
