Course Overview

What did people descended from the six Celtic Homelands in Europe contribute to America? Half of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, over half of U.S. Presidents, 8 of 12 astronauts who walked on the moon, and more. But millions of others with Celtic bloodlines labored in coal mines, steel mills, building railroads and the Erie Canal. Many were conscripted into the Union army and fought in the Civil War. They came to escape famine, to seek freedom of religion, and hoped to acquire land. Were your people among them?
