39133 - Counselor Self-Care and Wellness: An ethical imperative
Course Overview
Counselors have many challenges that require them to engage in personal and professional self-care. The American Counseling Association has included self-care and wellness as part of the ethical code, which requires counselors to engage in self-care activities. This course will encourage counselors to reflect on how well they are taking care of themselves in all aspects of living. This involves attention to one’s physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and relational aspects of life. Experiential activities that promote counselor self-care will be included along with strategies to develop individual wellness plans. NAADAC approved for 3 professional training hours.

Who Should Attend
- Student working towards becoming a licensed counselor in LSAA or LADAC
- Current counselors or those in the behavioral health field in need of continuing education hours for their license renewal.
Additional Information
To obtain a certificate of completion and NAADAC CEU hours, the participant has to attend all sessions and obtain a 70% or above on the end of course exam.Accrediting Associations
