Course Overview

We'll examine the ways that philosophy and religion have understood human nature. Who are we? Less than the gods and more than the animals? Mere products of our heredity and/or environment? Stewards of the earth or destroyers of the earth? We will use the book Thirteen Theories of Human Nature by Stevenson, Haberman, Wright and Witt (readily available online) as our guide.
