Course Overview

We'll examine the Danish philosopher/theologian Soren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) whose troubled personal life led to dozens of amazing works that deeply influenced the existentialist movement. We will look at some of his more accessible writings like Fear and Trembling, Works of Love, and Philosophical Fragments. We will use the book A Kierkegaard Anthology by Robert Bretall (readily available online) as our guide.
