Course Overview

Since the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin in 1995, the Oslo Peace Process has suffered from structural weaknesses that allowed opponents of Two States to gain the upper hand. President Biden recently stated that Two States defined by the pre-1967 borders is official US policy.  How can the United States use its immense power to rally the international community behind a solution and process that will have the US, for the first time, actually be a neutral arbiter to offer the Israelis and Palestinians the same set of incentives and penalties: accept the deal to have sovereignty, peace and prosperity or reject it to endure endless war, poverty and isolation.
