Course Overview

The history of Art is a multidisciplinary science, seeking an objective examination throughout the time and across the cultures. The study of the history of art was initially developed in the Renaissance, with a limited focus on Western civilization.  This once narrow scope has broadened to encompass the larger visual language of humans and collective global history.  Discuss and explore the history and journey of art and visual language by visiting various exhibits, museums and installations in the City of Albuquerque. There will be thought provoking discussions throughout.

Please note: This class will meet at CE for the first session and then venture to various art locations around Albuquerque in the following weeks. Some parking fees may apply.
