Course Overview
Discover the joy of turning a single sheet of paper into something beautiful, useful, and festive! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to fold 2–3 unique gift card pouches—perfect for adding a personal touch to your holiday presents—and create 1–2 charming holiday decorations, such as a festive origami Christmas tree or a miniature glowing lucky star. (If time allows)
No prior origami experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm! We’ll guide you step-by-step, sharing tips for crisp folds, creative paper choices, and ways to customize your pieces. You’ll leave with ready-to-use creations and the skills to make more at home for friends and family.

This workshop is part of the New Mexico Arts & Crafts Festival held on November 8, 2025 at UNM Continuing Education. There will be craft workshops going on throughout the day, as well as artist booths and food trucks. Join this workshop to make your own gifts and then shop for unique, locally handmade gifts from New Mexico artists and vendors.
