10675 - Beginning Pickleball
Course Overview
Invented in 1965, pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and the odds are good that someone you know plays. What is pickleball and why is it so popular? Pickleball is played on a 44’ x 20’ court, with a three foot high net and features a non-volley area referred to as “The Kitchen.” The game is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. Pickleball combines some of the best aspects of the sports of tennis, badminton and ping pong. It’s social and competitive, yet friendly, may be played by two or four players and accessible to all ages and fitness levels. Come join us and learn to play this exciting game.
ABQ Pickleball Club is the largest club in the state with over 1675 members.

Additional Information
Please note: Appropriate athletic footwear such as tennis shoes is required. Eye protection is advisable, but not required.
Equipment is provided, though please bring your own if you have it.
A water bottle is recommended and if the class is outdoors, sunscreen and a hat.
