Course Overview

How does dating change when you aren't looking for a partner to build a life or have children with? Can you live together, apart? Do you want a relationship or is self-love enough?

Relationships are central to all our lives. We all want to love and be loved! Yet, most of us find it challenging at best, if not seemingly impossible to know how to have a healthy and thriving relationship. This is especially true for those of us who have been in committed relationships in the past and are considering or are in a new intimate relationship.

Are you returning to the dating world or currently in a relationship and wanting to gain important insight and skill building for building healthy and happy relationships? Come join Dr. Jane Newell as she outlines for us, and we apply three foundational aspects of building happy and healthy intimate relationships in mid-life and discuss: to partner or not to partner, that is the question.

What You'll Learn

Participants will gain knowledge of and apply effective communication skills and explore what they must have in relationships, as well as whether they truly need or want to engage in the dances of intimacy again.

  • Learn effective communication strategies.
  • Understand your must-haves and can't-stands in relationships
  • To partner or not to partner, that is the question: knowing oneself

Who Should Attend

Adults who are considering returning to the dating world after a long term committed relationship, or who are currently in a new relationship and want to gain important insight and skill building for building healthy and happy relationships.
