Drones, also referred to as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), play a crucial role in the fields of geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing. Drone collected aerial images have been used in various fields. Aerial images captured by drones have found extensive applications across various domains. This course is designed to provide an overview of UAS standards and regulations, as well as the technical and applied aspects of utilizing drones as a tool for collecting geospatial data. Participants will have one (1) session to fly drones, with instructor, at Balloon Fiesta Park. (drones provided by instructor)
