Course Overview

Farsi, also known as Persian Language, counts over 110 million speakers worldwide and is the official language of Iran. About 25% of Afghanistan speaks Farsi, as well as parts of Pakistan and segments within other Persian Gulf countries. Many English words come to us from Farsi including “shawl”, “lilac”, “jasmine”, and “bazaar" and Farsi has been significant in major literary, poetic and musical works. Join us and learn the basics of Farsi language and Persian culture.
