Course Overview

In this two-hour workshop, participants will be demystifying a live language that has been lasting for thousands of years, learning about the basics of a writing system which is also an art form in East Asian cultures, and creating their first piece of calligraphy art.

No previous Chinese language or art experience required.

This workshop is part of the New Mexico Arts & Crafts Festival held on November 11, 2023 at UNM Continuing Education. There will be craft workshops going on throughout the day, as well as artist booths and food trucks. Join this workshop to make your own gifts and then shop for unique, locally handmade gifts from New Mexico artists and vendors.
