12776 - Country Western Social Dance
Course Overview
Have FUN, learn how to dance and meet people in a friendly, non-intimidating environment. Learn basic steps and beginning-level patterns, or update what you already know of the most popular country & western dances including Two-Step, Swing, *Cha Cha (a dance rhythm popular in many music genre’s including country, will be added and will replace Waltz), Night Club (a smooth, flowing dance suitable for slow ballads). Enjoy outings to local dance venues (some for under 21) to practice with fellow students. No experience or partner required -- singles and couples welcome. We will try to maintain an even ratio of leaders and followers. The basic steps for all four dances are taught in the first class. Since subsequent classes build on these skills, it is important NOT to miss the FIRST class.
