2190 - Beginning Sculpture
Course Overview
This class is an introduction to different types of clay and sculpting in metal wire. We will sculpt the human figure, a portrait bust in miniature, and students choice of subject such as animals, fantasy subjects, and abstract sculpture in metal wire and screening. This class is for the beginning sculpture student. For the first session please bring the following: a plastic garbage bag, any sculpting tools you may have, and a sack lunch.

What You'll Learn
- Learn the basics of sculpture and how to sculpt with different types of clay
- Complete projects including small animals and the human figure
- Learn how to critique artworks, be able to provide and receive constructive feedback on your works and others
