Course Overview

Bundle Dyeing and Eco Printing are two water-wise, sustainable methods for transferring color from flowers and leaves onto fabric and/or paper. These processes are quick and intuitive, allowing for one-of-a-kind results and endless experimentation. Each participant will bundle dye a 22x22” cotton bandana with various dye plants and create eco-print samples with local plants. 

What You'll Learn

  • Develop an understanding of two natural dye methods (bundle dyeing and eco-printing)
  • Gain knowledge of which materials and dye plants can be used with these methods
  • Learn best practices for achieving bright and lasting color
  • Create a beautiful, dyed bandana to keep or gift
