Course Overview

Join us for an examination and psychological analysis of archetypes of manhood amongst the Greek Heroes which continue to inform as role models in our current culture with particular attention to Herakles (Hercules in Latin) the strong man and Orpheus, the supremely gifted. The Myths were instrumental in the creation of patriarchy, distribution of power and inheritance. The Myths are timelessly referenced in literature and the popular arts.
