5432 - Introduction to Crochet
Course Overview
Are you interested in learning the basics of crochet? You will learn how to do stitches such as chain, single, half double, and double crochet. The class will cover differences in yarn, hooks, and styles and how to get the outcome you desire through the tools of crochet. You will learn crochet vocabulary and abbreviations used in patterns, basic stitches, and put them together to make an envelope clutch to hold your goodies.By the end of class, you will leave with a completed project and the skills to replicate it and more at home.
What You'll Learn
• Learn how to create slip knots and produce basic chaining, then will move to basic stitches and troubleshooting.
• Understand basic crochet terminology and abbreviations used in patterns.
• Learn how different tools change your piece. We will share tips and tricks on picking yarn and hooks for your projects.
• Understand basic pattern reading.
• Learn how to change yarn
• Learn about finishing projects
Crochet is also a terrific skill to put your fidgeting to good use!
Who Should Attend
No experience necessary. This is an introductory class for people who have never crocheted before or have tried to crochet and never completed a project.Additional Information
