Course Overview

You will be introduced to the fundamentals of drawing and practice drawing techniques. Through the use of mixed media drawing materials and still life subjects, you will develop a vocabulary of drawing terminology while honing your drawing skills. Topics covered will include: effectively observing subjects through visual measurement, crafting compositions by interpreting subjects through their shapes, grasping and articulating the illusion of light on forms, and exploring patterns and textures. By blending techniques and concepts with hands-on practice, you will lay the groundwork for your journey in drawing.
