Course Overview

This course will help prepare new instructors to create effective classroom environments, presentations, and teaching plans.

It is mandatory for the following instructors (who have not already taken the class):

  • Driver Education Instructors who do not have a teaching license, see Rule 18.20.3.18F.
  • Driving Safety Instructors, see Rule 18.20.8.16F; this may be waived with documentation of a teaching certificate.

This course is also open to current DWI School Facilitators, Driving Safety, and Driver Education Instructors for CEU purposes.

This course can only be taken for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every two (2) years.

Who Should Attend

This training is for Driver Education instructors. Once the initial class is taken, it cannot be taken for Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Additional Information

Enrollment must be completed at least ten (10) days prior to the start date to allow time to order course material.

Certificate of Completion Requirements: must attend 100% of the course.
