Course Overview

We’ll continue to look at the life and writings of the Danish philosopher and theologian Soren Kierkegaard (1813-1855). Kierkegaard's impact on Christian existentialism is immense. We will be reading Robert Bretall's A Kierkegaard Anthology, a book readily available online. We will examine both his philosophical and theological writings including his famous feud with the official Danish Lutheran Church in "Attack Upon Christendom." One does not need to have taken the fall course to benefit from this course.
