Course Overview

The course will summarize existing and potential surface water and groundwater supplies, water uses and trends, and physical and administrative constraints on water allocation in New Mexico, with particular focus on Albuquerque and the Rio Grande Valley. It will cover recent developments in conservation, interstate litigation, brackish and saline groundwater development, and water-rights administration. It will also deal with current water-supply projections and water planning by the State.
