Course Overview

From 1934 to 1945, approximately 1,400 Jewish children were rescued from Europe. Most were taken to the United States leaving parents to be murdered by the Nazis. As adults, approximately ten percent of these children returned to Europe to defeat the Nazi regime. Trained in counter intelligence and using their fluency in languages, they uncovered information that saved thousands of lives. After the war they served as prosecutors and translators in the Nuremberg trials. Known as the “Richie boys,” until recently, their story was a secret of World War II. This class uncovers this secret as well as others. Do you know about “Operation Manna-Chowhound,” that Queen Elizabeth II was a captain in the British Army, or that Hitler was a meth addict?
