Course Overview
Planning a trip to a Spanish-speaking country? This practical and engaging course is designed to help travelers build confidence using everyday Spanish in real-world situations. Students will focus on essential vocabulary, pronunciation, and survival-based communication skills useful for airports, hotels, restaurants, transportation, shopping, sightseeing, and emergencies. Emphasis will be placed on speaking and listening, with plenty of opportunities to practice common phrases and conversational exchanges in a supportive environment.
The class is ideal for beginners or travelers with limited Spanish experience who want to feel more comfortable navigating their destination independently and respectfully. Students will also gain insight into cultural etiquette and useful travel tips that can make interactions smoother and more enjoyable. By the end of the course, participants will be able to ask basic questions, understand common responses, and communicate more confidently while traveling. A willingness to participate and practice outside of class will help students get the most from the experience.
Please note this is an immersion-based class for adults and most of the instruction will be in Spanish.
