Course Overview

Have you ever considered growing your own food?

We all know a garden tomato tastes better, but did you know it’s also cheaper to produce? How difficult is it to maintain chickens? Join us for an overview of how to get started gardening in containers and small spaces to raise herbs and vegetables and avoid high grocery bills. We’ll explore the logistics and cost involved in raising a small flock of chickens for fresh eggs.

What You'll Learn

  • Learn how to get started with minimal upfront costs growing a small garden of herbs and vegetables such as tomatoes, basil, lettuces and more in containers and raised beds
  • Learn what you need and the costs involved with raising and maintaining a small flock of 2-4 laying hens in their backyard
