Course Overview
In this Intermediate Watercolor Painting II course, students will discover the basic fundamentals of color theory by mixing pigments and exploring color mixing with emphasis on lifting, gradient, glaze, and wash techniques. Hone your drawing skills by learning to develop quick sketches, and long-studies in watercolor by applying painting techniques and methods. The class will experiment with full color, monochrome color and how to make artwork using only three colors by capturing still life and botanical compositions.

Who Should Attend
This intermediate-level class has no formal prerequisites, but students should come in with a solid grasp of basic watercolor techniques, such as washes, glazing, color mixing, and controlled brushwork, as well as the ability to sketch simple compositions and plan multi-layered paintings. They should also feel comfortable working independently, experimenting with materials, and incorporating critique and feedback into their work.Additional Information
