Course Overview

A question that has haunted the human mind from the beginning of recorded history. In the 21st Century this question has taken on added significance as polls have shown an increasing number of American citizens self-identify as "Nones" (agnostic or atheist). This has intensified the discussion about the existence of God, especially in a pluralistic society with many different religious notions of God competing with one another. We’ll use the classic text of Hans Kung entitled Does God Exist? This text examines seriously the arguments for and against the existence of God. Two classes will examine arguments against, and two classes will examine arguments for the existence of God
