Course Overview
Counselors are faced with ethical dilemmas daily. Most of the time, they seek resolution by consulting relevant ethical codes, laws or other professionals. However, when faced with ethical dilemmas that are difficult to resolve, counselors are expected to engage in an ethical decision-making process. Integrated ethical decision-making goes beyond cognitive perception (head) and involves the heart (emotion) and gut (intuition). This course provides a step-by-step explanation of the integrated ethical decision-making process and an opportunity to practice using the model. NAADAC approved for 4 professional training hours.What You'll Learn
- Understand the importance of using multiple brain integration in decision-making.
- Identify current ethical issues in counseling.
- Practice using an integrated ethical decision-making process to resolve ethical dilemmas.
Who Should Attend
- Student working towards becoming a licensed counselor in LSAA or LADAC
- Current counselors, those in the behavioral health field in need of continuing education hours for their license renewal.
Additional Information
Participant will need to attend all course sessions and pass final exam or assignment with a 70% or above to receive course completion certificate.Accrediting Associations
