96427 - Cannabis Cultivation Specialist
Course Overview
Cannabis Cultivation Specialist program is designed to train, educate and prepare you for a career in the cannabis industry. This program is in a 3-unit, self-paced format that takes an average of 9 weeks to complete.
There are three main units to this program. In the first unit, students begin with Cannabis Industry Fundamentals. This is a great introduction to this program, as the industry has many nuances throughout the supply chain and Unit 1 will explore this.
In the second unit, we will dive into Cannabis Cultivation Skills & Best Practices, by exploring the botany and genetics of the cannabis plant. Next, seeds, germination, transplanting, and cloning are examined. Students will discover growing media and the various light sources available. Then, we will look at watering essentials and the vegetative and flowering cycles of the plant.
This course is offered in collaboration with our partner affiliate Green Flower.
Lastly, we will identify the proper ways to harvest, trim, process, cure and store cannabis. In our third and final unit we focus on Compliance and Operations training. We will cover topics like receiving and transport, best security procedures, inventory tracking, the importance of documentation and recordkeeping, and best compliance cultivation practices.
Once you have completed the third unit and passed the exam, you will be rewarded with the official Cannabis Cultivation Specialist Certificate.
This course is offered in collaboration with our Partner Affiliate Green Flower Education and is 100% online through their Learning Management System.
