Why my course is useful
Every city and county must maintain parcel and ownership with high integrity. Recently its been essential that this information is served to the public. Learning to handle this data with dynamic property valuation is a mission that requires technical staff with the IT/GIS skillsets we demonstrate in this course.
Why I built it
I got my Master's in GIS and thought I could immediately apply my skills. And as I took on consulting jobs, I found I was needing to do more focused learning than I had done in college. Because I was a quick learner, I found that I had more knowledge in GIS architecture than anyone else in the county GIS department. So the capability of standing up web map services is something I wanted to share.
