Part 2 – ‘Royalty’ of Italian Wine
There are noble varieties, and there are those in the ‘royal court,’ at least in Italy. Talking Queens, Princes, and Kings, we’ll discuss the differences, and what makes them great, between Piemonte’s Nebbiolo and Toscana’s Sangiovese and taste through five wines – Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, Barolo, Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello. And with the competition of ‘Kings,’ which will you prefer...Barolo or Brunello?
Wines that are covered:
- G.D. Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo, Piemonte 2019
- Cantina del Pino, Barbaresco 2015
- Romitorio Rosso di Montalcino, Montalcino 2018

Part 3 – Italian Wines from Volcanic Regions
When one thinks of a volcanic eruption, the first thought isn't, "I wonder what the grapes will be like?" Italy's volcanic soil, elevation in these areas of the country and the ancient nature of certain grape varieties produce some of the most diverse and complex wines. Talking Volcanic wines from Campania to Sicily, we will delve into history, tradition and tasting five varieties of red and white wines as examples.
You can either find and purchase the wine on your own at your preferred store, or have the bundles for each series shipped directly to you! If getting the wine shipped, you must order by December 2 (Volcanic Italian Wine - Cost is $131 + shipping).
