Course Overview

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a powerful technique that helps clients become engaged in making difficult changes in their lives. The key to applying MI is to hold clients in their ambivalence until their ambivalence is resolved and they begin to make changes. This workshop is designed for clinicians who have learned the basics and want to become advanced MI practitioners. Focus will be given to angry or combative clients, using MI with mental health disorders, and integrating MI with other theories and techniques. Student will need to attend both days and take course exam on last day and pass with 70% or above to receive course certificate.

Course is NAADAC approved for 16 professional training hours.
