Course OverviewThis course will examine the New Testament from the perspective someone who is not interested in being “saved,” accepting Jesus as one’s “lord and savior,” or having one’s sins forgiven. Rather, the class will examine the lessons for daily living that can be extracted from the pages of the Christian scriptures. We will look at matters such as how Jesus’ feeding of the 5,000, calming the sea, raising of Lazarus, and various teachings are rich metaphors about personal empowerment, caring for one another, and taking care of the earth.
