Course Overview
Offered through Anderson School of Management
A virtual/remote internship is an online work placement in your desired career field ranging from 1-4 months with a commitment of 10-30 hours a week. During this time, you will be working remotely with one of over 10,000 host companies in one of 70+ countries on key projects within their business.
Unlike traditional internships, you are not restricted to companies that you can commute to. Instead, you are able to work with innovative companies across the globe!

Fancy working for the next tech unicorn? It’s possible with a virtual internship. Unlike traditional in-office internships, you have the opportunity to work with companies all over the world who are actively challenging the way their industry operates.

You’ll be able to work with CEOs, incredible leaders, and more throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Over 70% of our interns work directly with a founder or c-suite member - which is huge exposure to how a company operates.

Not only will you gain the experience you need, but you’ll also gain the soft skills employers actively want in new hires by working remotely including time management, prioritization, cultural awareness, and so much more.

You’ll be supported throughout by your internship experience manager. You’ll develop core skills needed to advance in the future through our professional development hub of 12+ courses. You’ll have access to a career coach who will help you leverage your internship experience to land the job you want. And of course, you’ll gain the valuable experience you need.

Students who complete a virtual internship will gain valuable real-world work experience with diverse businesses. Students will also receive 3 transfer credit hours from the school of record - that will count as upper division electives on your UNM transcript.
